This summer, Interlochen Online will expand their world-class educational programming with new courses and certificate programs in music, theatre, visual arts, and film. Inaugural sessions five new courses will begin June 9, 2025; the remaining five will launch July 14, 2025.

“We have created many of these new courses and certificate programs to give you practical, real-world skills that enhance the art of storytelling, especially because they help you shape how audiences experience characters, visual worlds, and the emotional journey of a story,” said Carin Nuernberg, executive director of Interlochen Online. “As a music lover, I am particularly excited about the music appreciation and music business courses, designed for anyone who is passionate about music and wants to understand it better—and learn about the industry behind its creation and ultimate dissemination to listeners.”

Ten offerings will join Interlochen Online’s robust catalog of four-week courses this summer. Each course is designed and taught by an expert instructor; faculty for the recently added courses include Belmont University Assistant Professor of Music Business Brad Turcotte; actor and director Amie Farrell (Mank, American Sniper); theatre makeup designer and Bridging the Gap founder Jerrilyn Lanier-Duckworth; and composer, author, and educator Jamie Leigh Sampson.

The new courses are:
