Taught by a world-class acting coach and educator, our Acting for Commercials, Drama & Comedy certificate program offers a unique opportunity to deepen your craft, earn a valuable credential, and receive credit from Interlochen. This program is designed for both adults and teens and consists of three four-week courses that can be taken in any order.

On-Camera Acting Techniques: Comedy

Analyze and perform comedy scripts using techniques such as beat identification, surprise elements, and character development specifically tailored for comedic roles
Master the distinct performance styles required for multi-camera sitcoms and single-camera comedies
Gain a comprehensive understanding of professional comedy set etiquette and procedures

Identify and analyze dramatic genres, forms, and structures to effectively break down scripts and prepare for roles
Portray a wide range of emotions authentically, focusing on character needs, conflicts, and intentions
Adapt your acting techniques to fit various dramatic genres, including procedural dramas, serial dramas, and hybrid formats
Navigate auditions and on-set expectations with confidence
