Video Production Fundamentals 2

Elevate your video production skills through dynamic camera work, professional lighting, and post-production enhancements.

Over four weeks, you'll move beyond the basics of shooting and editing and explore tools and techniques that make your video projects more professional and polished. You’ll experiment with camera movement in both fixed and dynamic spaces, learn how to properly expose your footage using manual settings, and explore creative ways to control light—whether you’re working indoors, outdoors, or in front of a green screen.

You’ll also dive into simple graphics and animation, along with foundational audio tools like EQ and compression that can make a big difference in how your videos sound. Every week includes practical exercises and a final assignment that encourages you to apply what you’ve learned to real projects.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how to create visually compelling, professional-looking videos—even when you’re working with limited gear or in unpredictable shooting conditions.

What you will learn:

Apply various shot types and camera movements to enhance narrative and visual interest
Manually control camera exposure and use editing tools to achieve consistent, high-quality visuals
Shape and modify light sources—including sunlight—for creative effect and realism
Design and animate graphics, add captions, and refine audio using post-production tools
