• IPR Tour  | Interlochen Public Radio Studios            
  Interlochen Public Radio (then WIAA) first broadcast in 1963 and is still going strong. Today, IPR is a hub for news, music, and arts & culture in northern Michigan and is streamed worldwide. Come spend some time in the IPR studios and get to know YOUR radio station.

  Interlochen has a sustainability vision focused on leaving the world a better place for tomorrow. See firsthand how we're advancing our climate action plan through campus-wide composting, renewable energy commitments, organic gardening, and educational programs.

Under the direction of Leslie B. Dunner, the orchestra performs Johann Strauss II's lively Eljen a Magyar Polka and Antonín Dvořák's beloved Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op. 95. Ara Sarkissian leads performances of Respighi's lyrical Siciliana from Ancient Airs and Dances and Elliott Carter's poignant Elegy. Join classmates for a facilitated discussion and community dialogue related to the external investigation into historical reports of sexual abuse at Interlochen. This session provides a dedicated space for connection, support, and shared reflection. PLEASE NOTE: There are two concurrent sessions at 1 p.m. Due to the nature of these sessions and to ensure an opportunity for meaningful dialogue, they are first-come, first-served and limited to 20 persons each.

Celebrate Interlochen’s centennial with the dedication of a campus-wide sonic 
installation! Featuring wind chimes designed by Garry Kvistad (IAC/NMC 63-64, IAA 64-67) and prepared by current Interlochen Arts Academy percussion and visual arts students, the event will include the world premiere of a new commission by composer Joseph Karz (IAC 17-18), performed by the Interlochen Percussion Ensemble.

3 - 4 p.m. | Jazz Dance Class | Dance Center
Revisit your dance skills overlooking the shores of Green Lake, taught by faculty member and alumna Leslie Williams (IAC 91-92, IAA 92-96). Dressing rooms/restrooms are available in the Dance Center.

In this collection of prose poems, Delp (IAA Fac 84-11) transforms personal grief into a universal meditation on loss, love, and the restorative power of the natural world. Of Blood and Rivers traces the emotional landscape of mourning while offering readers moments of quiet beauty, resilience, and grace.

Are all Academy alumni welcome to attend?

Yes! Academy Reunion Weekends are open to alumni in each and every class year. We do celebrate milestone reunions at each reunion. At our 2026 reunion, we will celebrate milestone reunions for the following classes:

• 1966-1967 (60th Reunion)
• 1976-1977 (50th Reunion)
• 1986-1987 (40th Reunion)
• 1996-1997 (30th Reunion)
• 2001-2002 (25th Reunion)
• 2006-2007 (20th Reunion)
• 2016-2017 (10th Reunion)

What special events will there be for classes celebrating a milestone reunion?

Please see the “Milestone Events” dropdown for a complete list. These events are mostly planned by class ambassadors. If you’re interested in being a class ambassador and acting as a liaison with your class and the Office of Engagement, please contact our office at engagement@inerlochen.org.

How much is the registration fee? Who is required to pay it?

Those who register by June 15, will receive an “early bird” discount of $25 per ticket. The “early bird” price for an adult ticket is $95 and $50 for young alumni (graduating class 2016-present). 

For registrations after June 15, prices will increase by $25 for each ticket type: $120 for adults, and $75 for young alumni. Youth tickets are $25 for children between the ages of 12-17. Children under the age of 12 are free. 

The registration fee covers all activities planned by the Office of Engagement and applies to both alumni and guests. Certain class-specific activities planned by class ambassadors may require an additional fee.  

Is there a discount if I only attend part of Reunion Weekend?

Unfortunately, we are unable to break apart Reunion Weekend's flat fee into a la carte costs. We have, however, planned a robust schedule of activities and are providing them at a reduced rate to make Reunion Weekend activities as affordable and accessible as possible.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

You will receive an immediate email confirmation of your registration at the address you provided. Please register with a current email address to ensure you receive your registration confirmation and future communications about your attendance.

What if I have to cancel? Is my registration refundable?

We understand that plans can change. Please email engagement@interlochen.org to discuss a refund. We will not issue refunds later than Friday, October 9. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee of $5 per registrant to cover credit card processing fees. 

How do I find out who is attending the Reunion Weekend from my class?

Please click the “Who’s Coming” section below to see the list of those who have registered in advance. This list is updated regularly, so please check back for updates.

Where can I stay for Reunion Weekend?

If you need lodging during Reunion Weekend, please see the “Lodging” section above for information about area accommodations. On-campus accommodations are currently sold out. If you are interested in staying at an on-campus property, we recommend calling Stone Hotel periodically in case of cancellations: 231.276.7570.

What do I wear?

General attire for the weekend is casual. Please plan to bring (or purchase at the Scholarshop!) your Interlochen logo gear, along with casual clothing and comfortable walking shoes or boots. Be prepared to dress in layers. Remember, weather in northwest Lower Michigan can be unpredictable, so please pack for rain or shine. Sunscreen and bug spray may be needed, or a hat, gloves, and a warm coat. The temperature can range between 40-70 degrees.

I’d like to purchase Interlochen gear. Will the Scholarshop be open during Reunion Weekend?

Yes, the Scholarshop will be open throughout Reunion Weekend. The hours for the Scholarshop are Thursday, October 15 - Saturday, October 17: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. | Sunday, October 18: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. You can also shop the alumni collection online in advance of Reunion Weekend! 

What mobility services are available during Reunion Weekend?

Throughout the weekend, staff and volunteers may be available to provide golf cart shuttle service to those alumni and guests who need assistance getting around campus. Please be sure to include any mobility needs for you or your guests on the registration form, or contact the Office of Engagement at 231.276.7630 or engagement@interlochen.org.

Are there campus policies I need to be aware of?

Interlochen maintains a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and weapon-free environment. For the safety of others, pets are not allowed in buildings on campus and must be leashed at all times. Additional safety concerns may be directed to our Campus Safety staff at 231.276.7575. 

How will new information be communicated?

All alumni who are registered for Reunion Weekend will receive an email with schedule updates, as needed. Additionally, a pre-arrival email will also be sent to registrants the week of the reunion. If you feel you are not receiving the information via email or have questions about which email address is on file, please contact us at engagement@interlochen.org.

I’m flying to Traverse City and need ground transportation. Help?

Rental cars and other ground transportation services are available at the Cherry Capital Airport (TVC). 

If you are staying on campus and require ground transportation to and from the Traverse City airport (TVC), there is a transportation form to complete in your confirmation email from Stone Hotel. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Stone Hotel at 231.276.7570 or by email at hotel@interlochen.org.

Communications from Interlochen

All receipts, confirmations, and program information will be emailed to registrants. Please ensure that you register with a current email address, so you can receive future communications from us regarding your attendance.

Privacy Policy

Interlochen Center for the Arts and its subsidiaries ("Interlochen") do not provide personally identifying information to third parties or other participants without consent. However, for those who elect to share their name and graduating class year, a list will be posted electronically for others to see who will be attending this program.

Release of Liability

In consideration of participation in Academy Reunion Weekend 2026, the participant agrees to assume all risk of personal injury, loss, or damage to property. The administration may revoke the privilege to participate in this program for misconduct or nuisance caused by the participant. The participant also agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Interlochen Center for the Arts and its subsidiaries ("Interlochen") and their respective directors, officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims, actions, injuries, or damages that may be sustained or caused by an enrollee in connection with these activities. By participating in this program, the participant gives consent to Interlochen for full and unrestricted use of their image and photographic likeness and voice in all forms and media for advertising, trade, and any other lawful purposes without compensation to the participant. All film or digital files created are the sole property of Interlochen and may not be used without written consent. This release is for Interlochen use only and does not grant permission for the participant to use photographs or recorded media of other participants without consent or for personal gain.
