Interlochen Philharmonic

Interlochen Philharmonic

Composed of dozens of the world’s most noteworthy high school musicians, the Interlochen Philharmonic is an exceptional high school orchestra performing under the batons of expert conductors.

Each summer, some of the most motivated and skilled high school musicians in the world gather to play in the Interlochen Philharmonic. When you join the Philharmonic, you’ll perform exciting standard and contemporary repertoire while surrounded by the beautiful lakes and woods of Interlochen. The deep friendships you’ll develop and the passion for music you’ll discover will last a lifetime.

Interlochen Philharmonic Conductors

The conductors leading the Interlochen Philharmonic represent renowned orchestras and ensembles across the nation and globally. Guided by the vision of Creston Herron, Coordinator of Orchestras at Interlochen Arts Camp, these accomplished leaders oversee daily practice sessions and offer valuable perspectives on the historical background and artistic interpretation of each musical piece. They also act as role models, providing both instruction and inspiration to the gifted young musicians of the Philharmonic.
