The combination of staying motivated and knowing which parts of a performance need attention and work is essential for long term success. Very often, many aspects of a student’s presentation are naturally positive and I believe it is my job as a teacher to help identify and preserve these natural qualities while also helping the student stay motivated to dive into the work that lies ahead.
