Summer 2025 Updates & Changes

For Summer 2025, we are making several changes to better serve our students. Changes include housing division name updates, removal of "rest hour" for Intermediate students, and new birthday celebration options. These updates are outlined below. We look forward to seeing you at Camp!

Housing Division Name Changes

For Camp 2025, we have renamed our housing divisions. The new housing division names are based on their location on campus, and do not refer to the age division of students. Please refer to this map for the updated names:

Intermediates: No Rest Hour

Based on feedback from families, students, and Camp Life staff, we have reorganized the Intermediate class schedule. The new schedule does not include a traditional rest hour after lunch. Students will have their lunch period to eat, relax for a short time, and to prepare for their afternoon classes. Students will no longer have the required one hour of “bunk time” after lunch.

Birthday Celebration Options

By popular demand, we are implementing new “birthday party packages” from the Scholarshop. This allows families who have students celebrating birthdays at Camp to easily purchase and have delivered items for a small cabin-based birthday party. (Please note that students cannot receive deliveries of food from local delivery services like Instacart, Uber Eats, etc.). The new birthday party packages make it easy for families to send some shareable treats and to know their student is having a fun celebration with their cabin! Music Majors: Pre-Arrival Placement Video

Intermediate and High School students who have been accepted into the Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Advanced Strings, Advanced String Quartet, or Jazz Performance program must prepare Pre-Arrival Video submissions prior to camp. Students must submit their videos between May 1 and May 23 through the Education Community. Camp faculty committees will review files to determine ensemble and seating. Details about your program’s Pre-Arrival Video requirements may be found in your program letter in the Education Community.
