Forty one years ago, the Violent Femmes captured the angst of adolescence with their platinum-certified, self-titled debut album. Hailed by Pitchfork as one of the best albums of the 80s, The Violent Femmes sold more than three million copies and established the band as a pillar of the American underground movement. The punk idols celebrate four decades with a cover-to-cover live performance of their albums—The Violent Femmes and Hallowed Ground—featuring darkly comical yet powerfully catchy favorites such as “Blister in the Sun,” “Add It Up,” and “Kiss Off.”
