Matthew Worth is a sought-after baritone known for his work in innovative operatic productions and contemporary repertoire. Recent highlights include the title role in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Boston Lyric Opera, the premiere and recording of the Narrator in Richard Danielpour’s The Passion of Yeshua, which went on to win a GRAMMY for Best Choral Performance, the world premiere of JFK with Fort Worth Opera, The Manchurian Candidate with Minnesota Opera, and Moby Dick at Washington National Opera.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, to two elementary school teachers, Worth’s first musical passion was jazz, and he played trombone through college. He holds a B.A. in Music from the University of Richmond, an M.M. in Voice from Manhattan School of Music, and is a graduate of the Juilliard Opera Center. Matthew is a committed recitalist and active concert soloist.
