Along the way, each speller’s personal lives and unique struggles are revealed, affecting their performance in the competition. Featuring music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, and outrageous improvisations, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will leave you asking the perennial question: “Can you use it in a sentence?”
