Taught by a world-renowned vocalist, the Vocal Techniques certificate program offers a unique opportunity to deepen your craft, earn a valuable credential, and receive credit from Interlochen. This program is designed for both adults and teens and consists of three four-week courses that can must be taken in sequential order.

Vocal Techniques 1

✔Identify the anatomy and related functions of the vocal apparatus and employ strategies for maximizing vocal health
✔Identify your voice type, select appropriate repertoire, and explore genres that align with your vocal strengths and interests
✔Develop focused practice sessions, including efficient warm-up and warm-down routines, and create a consistent practice schedule to optimize your vocal progress
✔Leverage tools for overcoming performance anxiety and strategies for handling mistakes during performances

Vocal Techniques 2

✔Develop techniques to improve vocal endurance and breath control
✔Increase vocal agility and dexterity, learning to navigate complex vocal passages with precision
✔Prepare for live performances by applying effective vocal techniques and performance strategies
✔Create personalized pre-performance routines, utilize memorization techniques, and integrate feedback to enhance your live performance skills
