Animation Production

Create your own 10-second animated short in 30 days–developing the concept, designing characters, and crafting the overall scene–under the guidance of a professional animator.

This course offers hands-on exercises and assignments designed to build your technical skills and creative confidence, while giving you real-world insight into the demands and rewards of animation production. Over four weeks, you’ll follow a professional animation production pipeline—starting from initial thumbnails and storyboarding to refining your linework, adding color, and compositing the final piece.

You’ll learn how to organize your production files, pitch your storyboards, and make thoughtful decisions about keyframes, tweens, and lip-syncing. You'll be challenged to think critically about visual storytelling, from experimenting with different line styles to understanding the emotional impact of color choices. By the end of the course, you’ll have a fully rendered animation that reflects your artistic vision and technical growth.
