Taught by a world-class acting coach, director, and educator, our Acting for TV and Film certificate program offers a unique opportunity to deepen your craft, earn a valuable credential, and receive credit from Interlochen. This program is designed for both adults and teens and consists of three four-week courses that can be taken in any order.

Auditioning for TV and Film

✔Identify ways to secure film and TV auditions with or without an agent
✔Identify the various components of a self-tape and best practices for each
✔Tape and submit slates for commercial, multicam, one-hour drama, and film auditions
✔Make strong acting choices that stand out
✔Identify methods to properly prep for self-tape auditions to make the process smoother and easier
✔Effectively set up for a self-tape virtually anywhere with an understanding of eyelines and industry-standard framing
✔Understand the unique process of voiceover self-tapes

Acting for TV and Film

✔Master industry terminology and on-set dynamics to effectively collaborate with crew members on TV and film sets
✔Adapt performance techniques for different camera formats and genres, ensuring versatility in your acting approach
✔Gain insider knowledge into the day-to-day experiences of acting on various types of productions
✔Develop proficiency in using your voice for commercials, voiceovers, and animation, expanding your acting opportunities

Navigating the Acting Business

✔Develop your personal brand and create effective marketing materials, including a résumé, headshot, and reel
✔Identify the differences between talent agents and managers, and how to effectively work with each

No, course sections are designed for their respective age groups, either for adults (students 18 and older) or young people (students under 18).
