Distinguished Faculty

The Interlochen strings faculty have toured the world in prestigious quartets and ensembles, held professorships at top-rated universities and conservatories, and made their mark as orchestra players and soloists. Our dedicated faculty comes together each summer to help the next generation of young musicians thrive.

Additional Opportunities

We have additional camp program opportunities for young violists, including the Orchestra & Wind Ensemble program and the Advanced String Quartet program, both of which start immediately following this intensive.

Interlochen is also home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers six music programs, as well as a postgraduate year.

A unique thing that we took part in during [Intensive] was learning contemporary music and learning how to improvise and tweak little things to make each time we played it different. And that was an opportunity that I haven't gotten anywhere else.
