This week-long summer oboe program brings together talented young oboists from all over the world. Together, you will develop your musicality, tone, and confidence as both people and performers. Our faculty will help you develop a deeper understanding of oboe repertoire through lessons and multiple performance opportunities.

What You'll Learn

This will be one of the largest gatherings of high school oboists that you'll experience. You will spend your week immersed in concentrated study, workshops, and master classes—which will prepare you to study at the collegiate level and beyond. Our curriculum includes:

The Music Center

Our state-of-the-art music facility has two 3,500 square-foot rehearsal halls, two recording studios which allow for rehearsal and performance recordings in multiple venues on campus, multiple ensemble and practice rooms, and individual faculty teaching studios. Learn more about The Music Center.

Additional Opportunities

Students interested in a multi-week, ensemble-based program are invited to also apply to the high school Orchestra & Wind Ensemble program, which begins immediately following this one-week intensive.

Interlochen is also home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers six music programs for grades 9-12, as well as a post-graduate year.
