Organ Audition Requirements

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be holding in-person auditions. Please upload your video audition to your application through the Education Community. For more detailed information on the Interlochen Arts Academy application process, please visit our How to Apply page.

Please prepare two solos of contrasting styles. There is no required repertoire, but the audition should demonstrate your overall ability.

Video Introduction: Tell us about who you are as an artist. Record a short (2-5 minutes) video introduction, including information about your artistic journey, such as the kinds of classes or lessons you have taken, your artistic accomplishments, any awards you have won, groups you have participated in, artistic experiences that have been particularly meaningful, and anything else you would like for us to know about you as an artist.

Inexperienced organists with a strong piano background are welcome to apply to the organ program. Your eligibility will be determined by the combined merits of your piano and organ selections. If you began your studies on another instrument, please perform on whichever instrument best shows your skill and potential.

If you are unable to present the suggested audition materials, please submit materials that best display your present level and potential.
