Sweaney has performed across Europe, Asia, and the United States, including at the Salzburg Festival, Vienna Konzerthaus, Musikverein, Singapore Arts Festival, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Orchestra Hall in Chicago. He has appeared at International Viola Congresses in Krakow, Porto, and Rochester, and performs regularly as a duo with violinist Annette-Barbara Vogel. Their recording, Violin Viola Duos Through the Centuries, was lauded by American Record Guide for its “superior playing and a gorgeously recorded performance.”
