Join the Interlochen Arts Academy Creative Writing Division for a special evening with acclaimed author Eula Biss. The program will feature a reading, an audience Q&A, and a book signing.

Biss is the award-winning author of four books, including Having and Being Had (2020), On Immunity (2014), and Notes from No Man’s Land (2009), winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her work has been translated into more than a dozen languages and recognized with honors such as a Guggenheim Fellowship and the 21st Century Award from the Chicago Public Library.

A 2023 National Fellow at New America, Biss is currently writing a collection of essays exploring how private property has shaped our world. For two decades she has taught writing in settings ranging from public schools to universities, and she now teaches nonfiction for the Bennington Writing Seminars. She is also a founding editor of Essay Press and a member of the Penny Collective.
