Bold, brilliant, and unmistakably American, this brass concert celebrates the sound and spirit of a nation. From the iconic power of Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man to the sweeping energy of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, the program captures moments of pride, reflection, and optimism through music.

Piano faculty member Hyemin Kim is featured as soloist in Rhapsody in Blue, bringing jazz-infused brilliance and rhythmic vitality to the stage. David Uber’s Gettysburg offers a moving musical reflection on one of the most defining chapters in American history. Additional classical and contemporary works complete the program, showcasing the full expressive range of brass instruments.

Witness the majesty of brass in all its forms as Interlochen Arts Academy’s brass musicians perform. This powerful evening highlights the strength, warmth, and resonance of a uniquely American sound.
