Symphonic Band Camp

Why Attend Symphonic Band Camp

Join more than 90 adults from across the United States and around the globe for the 2024 Symphonic Band Camp and experience the joy of ensemble performance in a challenging, supportive, fun, and friendly environment.

What You'll Learn

The repertoire will be tailored to the ensemble size and experience level. Repertoire from past seasons include Pines of Rome by Ottorino Respighi, "Khan" by Julie Giroux, "The Thunderer" by John Philip Sousa, and more. Suggested pieces for this year’s program will be posted to the website in the spring of 2024. You will work with renowned faculty throughout the duration of this course.  Curriculum will include:

  • Master classes
  • Daily ensemble rehearsals and sectionals
  • Daily chamber music reading sessions
  • Faculty/participant side-by-side rehearsal and performance opportunities

Included in the tuition is a group dinner on the first night and special evening sessions during the week to build camaraderie. The Symphonic Band Camp experience culminates with a performance on Interlochen's campus.
