About the Company

The young artists featured in this production are theatre students at Interlochen Arts Academy, the United States’ premier boarding school for gifted creatives ages 14-18. Surrounded by the stately pines of northern Michigan, Academy students pursue pre-professional training in seven artistic disciplines—music, dance, theatre, visual arts, creative writing, interdisciplinary arts, and film—alongside a robust academic curriculum, preparing them to excel in the arts and beyond.

The Theatre Division at Interlochen Arts Academy provides rigorous daily training in three focus areas: acting, musical theatre, and theatre design and production. A diverse season of fully staged theatre productions enables students to put their skills into practice and gain hands-on experience as performers, designers, and technicians. Notable alumni of the program include actor Alexandra Silber (Fiddler on the Roof, West End revival), Tony Award-winning director Michael Arden (Parade, Broadway revival), and Tony Award-nominated set designer Dane Laffrey (Once On This Island, Broadway revival), among many others.
