About Robert

Robert Walker is currently Principal Clarinet of the Pacific Symphony. Previously, he played 2nd/Eb Clarinet in the Louisville Orchestra. Walker also plays frequently with the Saint Louis Symphony and has appeared with the symphony orchestras of Cleveland, Nashville, and Sarasota among others.

He has played in numerous festival orchestras over the years, including the Artosphere Orchestra, Sarasota Opera, AIMS Festival in Graz, National Repertory Orchestra, three years as a Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival, and three years in the Young Artists Program at the Yellow Barn Music Festival.

As an educator, Walker has given masterclasses at Jersey City University, the University of Louisville, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and Cal State Fullerton. While at Aspen, he collaborated with Orli Shaham on storyboarding and writing music for a children's show as part of her “Baby Got Bach” series.
