About Rob

Rob Knopper is a percussionist in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and founder of the auditionhacker academy, an agency helping orchestral-track musicians win full-time jobs. His students have won auditions and advanced to finals in major orchestras around the world, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and many more. As a percussion teacher, Knopper has served as faculty at the Verbier Festival and the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival in South Africa. Knopper has performed with the San Francisco Symphony and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and also recorded the first-ever complete album of snare drum’s most influential composition, Douze Études for Snare Drum by Jacques Delécluse.
