About Riley

Riley Dungan is a third-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy, where he studies Theatre Design & Production with a focus in Lighting Design. A lifelong theatre enthusiast, Riley has always been fascinated by the magic that happens behind the scenes. At Interlochen, he has embraced a wide range of backstage roles, collaborating with a talented community of students, actors, and technicians.

Riley has designed and operated sound for multiple productions and has stage-managed several shows, including Muse: A Piece of Student-Devised Theatre, which premiered at Lincoln Center in New York. During his freshman year in 2023, Riley discovered his passion for Lighting Design—a discipline that has since become his primary artistic focus. He continues to design lighting for productions both at Interlochen and beyond.
