About Michelle
Michelle Li is a pianist, teacher, and Dalcroze clinician who is noted for her musicality and synthesis of multiple teaching methods. Currently, she serves on the publications committee of the Dalcroze Society of America as an editor. Li is a multidisciplinary artist equally at home in the teaching studio or on tour. Her students have won first prize at the National Federation of Music Club Festivals, regularly earn superiors at the NFMC Festival and the Piano Guild, and have had their compositions reach the regional level at state competitions. Li is a veteran of the concert stage and has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in addition to many solo recitals, chamber recitals, and band gigs.
I believe musical inspiration comes from anywhere, and I encourage my students to let the spark of exploration and curiosity fuel them as they interact with the world at large. Life experience is what makes us complete musicians.
