About Michael

Michael Liebhauser is delighted to return to Interlochen for another summer of Shakespeare. His past Interlochen Shakespeare Festival roles include Richard III in Richard III, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, Laertes in Hamlet, Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, and Edmund in King Lear.

Select regional credits include Jack in Dear Jack, Dear Louise (59E59/Shadowlands/Penguin Rep), Robert Langdon u/s in The Da Vinci Code (Ogunquit Playhouse), Chis in The Play That Goes Wrong (Lyric Stage Boston), Mr. Green in Clue (Greenbrier Valley Theater), and multiple roles at The Gamm Theatre, including Mozart in Amadeus, Sebastian in Twelfth Night, Isaac Babel in Describe the Night, and Czolgosz in Assassins. Other favorites include Casey in The Legend of Georgia McBride (Florida Rep), Hal in The Scarlet Pimpernel (Engeman Theater), Anthony in Antony and Cleopatra, both Antipholi of Syracuse and Antipholi of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors (Theater at Monmouth), and multiple roles at Quintessence Theatre Group, including Doc in Waiting for Lefty, Chorus in The Cure at Troy, and Duke Albany in King Lear.

Michael is an alumnus of Interlochen Arts Camp (’07, ’08) and Academy (’08–’12), and a graduate of the University of Minnesota B.F.A. Acting Program. Special thanks to PMA!
