Lisa M. Dohm, Ed.D.
About Lisa
Lisa M. Dohm joined the Interlochen Arts Academy faculty in 1994 after completing graduate school. She spent 11 years instructing Spanish and English as a Language. She left in 2005 to pursue advanced degrees believing that one day she would return to Interlochen. After 16 years, Dohm found herself back in a classroom in the Liberal Arts Rotunda. As she walks the halls and explores the beautiful campus with all the new buildings and sees familiar faces from the past, she ponders, "Who says you can never go home again?" Dohm is delighted to experience the "magic of Interlochen".
All students are capable of learning. They just need the support and guidance of a compassionate instructor who knows how to balance standards of excellence with realistic and attainable goals for each student. It is an ongoing reflective journey for the instructor; one that allows student to meet their potential and to flourish in and out of the classroom.
