Chandler Currier
About Chandler
Chandler Currier joined the Nashville Symphony as Principal Tuba in February of 2024, appointed by Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero. He is pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree at Juilliard under the tutelage of Alan Baer. Currier is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, class of 2021, and is an Interlochen Arts Camp alumnus. Last summer, Currier studied at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. During his time there, he won the Keston Max Competition. As a result of this accomplishment, Currier traveled to London for a 10-day residency with the London Symphony Orchestra. He has had the privilege to perform with elite orchestras such as the Nashville Symphony, London Symphony, The New York Pops, the Juilliard Orchestra, and others. His former teachers include Gilbert Long, former Principal Tubist of the Nashville Symphony, Garen Webb, and Tom Riccobono.
