Winds, Brass, and Percussion Summer Program for Grades 3-6

Why Take Wind, Brass, and Percussion

Whether you love the French horn’s powerful sound or the triangle’s silvery chime, you’ll find the perfect place to learn and grow as a musician at Interlochen Arts Camp. Embrace your potential in wind, brass, or percussion with focused study in your area of interest. In this program, you'll challenge and develop yourself with the support of expert faculty and like-minded young musicians.

What You'll Learn

Your days will include rehearsals and coaching with members of our music faculty, where you'll refine your skills and learn new techniques both on your own and collaboratively with other students. You'll learn advanced techniques, discuss practice methods, tackle challenging repertoire, and sharpen your performance skills. Curriculum will include:

  • Private lessons and performance workshop
  • Dalcroze Eurhythmics
  • Junior Choir
  • Environmental Exploration

You'll also have plenty of fun opportunities to make new friends from around the world and enjoy outdoor adventures.

This program does not require an audition. We encourage you to apply as early as possible. Prospective students must currently be enrolled in an ensemble program or have been playing for six months by the start of Camp session.
