Vocal Summer Program for Grades 3-6
Why Take Vocal
Do you love to sing? Are you ready to take your vocal gifts to the next level? Get ready for an intense, focused summer experience that will help you become an even better vocalist. At Interlochen Arts Camp, you’ll work with incredible instructors and meet other young students who love using their voices as much as you do.
What You'll Learn
Students in this track will sing each day in the Junior Choir. This choir is led by educators with decades of experience working with young vocalists. Each class session will focus on individual improvement within the choir setting. In addition, students take a course in musicianship and meet at the end of the class day in Junior Vocal Workshop to build their skills and love of music. Classes for vocal students include:
- Junior Choir
- Junior Vocal Workshop
- Musicianship (Music Notation Skills)
- Dalcroze Eurhythmics
You'll also have plenty of fun opportunities to make new friends from around the world and enjoy outdoor adventures.
This program does not require an audition. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.
Junior Honors Recital
Interlochen offers an Honors Recital competition for musicians in the Junior Division. Juniors accepted into the finals will perform in a special Honors Recital scheduled mid-week during the 2nd week of your session.
