In the wake of the 1998 murder of University of Wyoming student Matthew Shephard, Moisés Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project embarked on an ambitious project: to conduct interviews with both those involved with the case and everyday citizens of Laramie, Wyoming. The result was The Laramie Project, a groundbreaking theatrical work that weaves more than 200 interviews into a gripping portrait of the human psyche. Join the Interlochen Arts Academy Theatre Division and director Stephen John for a thought-provoking production hailed by New York Magazine as “nothing short of stunning.”
