Get into the swing of the holiday season as guest conductor Stafford Hunter and the Interlochen Arts Academy Jazz Orchestra perform Duke Ellington’s The Nutcracker Suite. A Grammy-nominated trombonist and 21-year veteran of the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Hunter will lead the Arts Academy musicians in playful takes on Nutcracker favorites such as “Toot Toot Tootie Toot” (Dance of the Reed Pipes), “Danse of the Floreadores” (Waltz of the Flowers), and “Peanut Brittle Brigade” (March).
Attendance of this event counts towards NMC's Global Certificate program.
