Marjorie Wood Drackett Piano Chair Dr. Kara Huber will be taking us through the life and compositions of American composer and Grammy-Award winner, Joan Tower. Her virtuosic and colorful pieces with the influence of Chopin’s romance, Stravinsky’s rhythm and Debussy’s etherealism will tell the story of her career and how Tower found her own voice in composing for the modern listener.
