Step into the musical heart of Austria with Souvenirs of Austria, a joint piano recital featuring Dr. Hyemin Kim and Khanh Nhi Luong, Third Prize winner of the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition. This intimate evening pairs two masterworks that reflect the depth, lyricism, and emotional range of the Austro-German tradition.

Dr. Kim performs Franz Schubert’s Piano Sonata No. 20 in A Major, D 959, a late work filled with expansive beauty, quiet introspection, and moments of startling intensity. Luong follows with Johannes Brahms’ 6 Klavierstücke, Op. 118, a deeply personal set of miniatures that balances warmth, nostalgia, and quiet power.

Together, these works offer a reflective journey through memory, place, and feeling, inviting audiences to experience Austria not just as a location, but as a musical state of mind.
