Join acclaimed author Téa Obreht for an evening of conversation about her writing, literary career, and acclaimed novels.

Born in Belgrade in the former Yugoslavia and raised in Cyprus and Egypt before immigrating to the United States, Obreht is the author of The Tiger’s Wife, which won the 2011 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a National Book Award finalist; Inland, an instant New York Times bestseller; and The Morningside, a finalist for the inaugural Climate Fiction Prize.

Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, The Atlantic, Vogue, Esquire, and Zoetrope: All-Story, among others. A National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 honoree and former National Endowment for the Arts fellow, Obreht currently lives in Wyoming with her family.

This evening offers a chance to hear directly from one of contemporary fiction’s distinctive voices about the stories, places, and ideas that have shaped her work.
