An Evening with Darius Atefat-Peckham & Athena Nassar

Join acclaimed poets and writers Darius Atefat-Peckham and Athena Nassar for an evening of poetry, essays, and conversation. Both Interlochen Arts Academy alumni, Atefat-Peckham and Nassar bring distinctive perspectives shaped by Iranian-American and Egyptian-American experiences, exploring identity, family, grief, joy, and the complexities of belonging.

Atefat-Peckham, a National Student Poet selected by the Library of Congress, is the author of How Many Love Poems and editor of Deep Are These Distances Between Us. Nassar, an award-winning poet and writer, has received numerous national honors for her work and serves as poetry editor of The Emerson Review.

Together, they offer an evening celebrating contemporary voices and the power of poetry to connect personal experience with the larger world.
