The Accidentals FAMgrove Festival

Four musicians pose together in front of a rustic wooden wall. One woman in a bright green cowboy hat and sequined black shirt stands smiling in the center, while the other three, dressed mostly in black, are positioned around a wooden bench. One seated musician has teal-colored hair, and the group appears relaxed and casual outdoors.

From hometown roots to global stages, this is a night that feels both deeply personal and impossibly big.

The Accidentals return to Northern Michigan with the kind of chemistry you can’t manufacture. What began in a Traverse City classroom—and was further shaped during their time as Interlochen alumni—has grown into a genre-defying force known for rich harmonies, virtuosic strings, and songs that hit straight at the heart. Their sound moves effortlessly between indie rock, folk, pop, and orchestral textures, creating a live experience that is both intimate and electrifying. Their journey has taken them around the world, onto festival stages, into collaborations with major artists, and into the lives of a fiercely devoted fan community. But at its core, their music is still about connection. It’s about shared moments, resilience, and finding meaning in the highs and lows that shape us. When they step on stage, it’s not just a concert, it’s a feeling of belonging.

Joining them is Emma Zinck, a rising voice out of Nashville redefining what country music can be. With powerhouse vocals, a four-octave range, and a bold “Electric Country” sound, she brings a modern edge that blends raw emotion with undeniable energy. Her performances are magnetic, pulling audiences in and holding them there.

Discovered at age 16 by Dave Stewart, blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Joanne Shaw Taylor has become one of the genre's most celebrated artists, earning praise from legends including Stevie Wonder and Joe Bonamassa. Her powerful vocals, masterful guitar work, and acclaimed albums have helped establish her as one of Britain's leading blues-rock exports, with multiple releases reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Chart. Blending soulful songwriting with electrifying musicianship, Joanne Shaw Taylor delivers a live performance that showcases why she remains one of the most compelling voices in contemporary blues and rock.

The Burney Sisters are a dynamic sibling duo blending indie-folk, Americana, and soulful storytelling into a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary. Known for their rich harmonies, exceptional musicianship, and heartfelt lyrics, sisters Emma and Bella Burney have captivated audiences across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. With infectious energy and songs that explore love, resilience, and self-discovery, The Burney Sisters are emerging as one of the most exciting young acts in modern folk music.

Opening the evening is A to Z Music, an Interlochen-born duo whose story mirrors the spirit of this stage. With roots in Northern Michigan and a sound shaped by folk, indie, and alt influences, they represent the next generation of artists stepping forward with something real to say.
