"Jedo's Dead" Premiere Party

A young girl looks intently at a man's face

Sunday, July 20 | 4 p.m.

Texas Movie Bistro, 3980 Boat Club Rd, Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth is rolling out the red carpet for the premiere of  "Jedo's Dead"  for its first theatrical run! Join fellow alumni in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as we celebrate the first project produced by the Interlochen Cinema Collective, an intergenerational cohort that unites Interlochen alumni, faculty, staff, students, and guest artists to create fully realized professional film projects.

Written and directed by alumna Sara Nimeh (IAC 00-06, IAA 06-08), this award-winning short film follows a young Middle Eastern girl who finds her grandfather dead, forcing her to grapple with the earthly rituals and spiritual loose ends of loss. Come meet Sara, Michael Mittelstaedt, director of Film & New Media, and Carolyn Purcell (IAA 84-86), associate director of Engagement, for this special Fort Worth premiere.
