Additional Opportunities

Interlochen also offers an Acting program. If you're interested in scenery, costumes, lighting, or stage management, you can apply for the Theatre Design & Production program.

Interlochen is also home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers theatre programs in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Design & Production for grades 9-12, as well as a post-graduate year.

Guest Artists

Each summer, the theatre department welcomes guests artists and educators to our campus. Recent guests of the department include:

  • Barrett Foa, NCIS:LA, Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Mamma Mia!
  • Lothair Eaton, singer, actor, vocal coach

The campus is beautiful, and all the teachers and staff are so nice. I instantly connected with lots of other campers. Here, I don't feel like I have to hide myself. I am no longer shy to express myself. And the classes are amazing! The theatre program is phenomenal; no other place compares. I truly feel like I am making art.
