Why Take Acting Audition Intensive
Auditions can be nerve-wracking. During this intensive, our expert faculty prepare you to channel that energy and successfully navigate the audition process. You will develop the skills, confidence, and poise to thrive when auditioning. You will learn especially to master the college audition process.
What You'll Learn
Practice makes comfort. The Interlochen Theatre Department will help prepare you for a great college audition experience. During this intensive you will:
- Identify college and university programs that best fit your personal goals and experience
- Prepare and rehearse an audition package of two contrasting monologues
- Assess theatre degree types
- Develop your audition toolkit to prepare for successful entry into a theatre program

Interlochen is home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers theatre programs in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Design & Production for grades 9-12, as well as a post-graduate year.
Theatre Venues & Facilities
Our campus boasts several state-of-the-art performance venues and facilities. The Harvey Theatre Complex contains classrooms, rehearsal spaces, and a 173-seat theatre. We also have two additional performance spaces, the 952-seat Corson Auditorium and the 170-seat black box Phoenix Theatre. The Mallory Costume Shop and our professional scene shop are state-of-the-art spaces also dedicated to our theatre program. Learn more about all of our facilities and venues.
