Wenhao Zhang
About Wenhao
Chinese pianist, collaborative artist, and educator Wenhao Zhang is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His work centers on the intersection of performance, scholarship, and new music, with particular emphasis on a ragtime commission project supported by the Pattis Family Foundation Emerging Artists Fund. Focused on the creation of new piano ragtime works by contemporary composers, his broader research interests include Chinese zodiac music, gender in music, and creative approaches to piano pedagogy.
