About Soroush
Soroush Sadeghi is a collaborative pianist currently pursuing a Doctor of Music in Collaborative Piano at Indiana University, where he serves as an Associate Instructor under the mentorship of Anne Epperson, Kevin Murphy, and Aram Arakelyan. He previously earned both his Master of Music and a Performer Diploma from Indiana University, collaborating extensively with students of renowned faculty members such as Heidi Grant Murphy, Michelle DeYoung, Russell Thomas, Jane Dutton, Atar Arad, Grigory Kalinovsky, Mark Kaplan, James Campbell, Linda Strommen and members of the Pacifica Quartet.
Sadeghi has gained extensive experience participating in prominent festivals and masterclasses. In 2024, he played for the prestigious Renée Fleming Masterclass at the May Festival in Cincinnati, and in summer 2025, he was a Collaborative Piano Fellow at the Brevard Music Festival. This coming summer 2026, he will serve as the Coordinator of Collaborative Piano at Interlochen Arts Camp where he previously worked as a staff pianist in 2023. Additionally, he has participated in master classes with renowned artists such as Anthony McGill, Warren Jones, Rohan De Silva, Gordon Back, and Thomas Hoppe, and has performed at festivals including the Source Song Festival, Chestertown National Music Festival, and Operation Opera at California State University.
Before moving to the United States, Sadeghi was active at leading music schools and festivals in Iran. He collaborated with the Tehran Opera Ensemble on multiple productions and performed with major ensembles, including the Tehran Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alexander Rahbari. His discography includes From Italy to Persia (2022), a collaboration with oboist Aryan Gheitasi released on the ARS Produktion label and distributed in Europe, Japan, and the United States; and Oblivion (2019), recorded with the Tehran Quintet and released by Raha Music Production.
