Sandra Jackson is the former Principal Clarinet of the Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico. She has also performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids, Toledo, Kalamazoo and Flint Symphonies, and the Michigan Opera Theatre. Jackson is active as a solo and chamber musician. Her most recent projects include the commission and performance of Whispers and Evocations, a work for clarinet and wind ensemble by composer Peter Terry, which she presented at the International ClarinetFest Conference 2014, and with the EMU Wind Symphony in 2013. She is also featured on a recording of works by composer Zae Munn, to be released on the Parma label. She has presented recitals and masterclasses throughout the US and Mexico. Jackson has been on the faculty at the Interlochen Arts Camp since 1995 and is the Assistant Professor of Clarinet at Eastern Michigan University.
