About Rena

Rena Feller has played E-flat/Second Clarinetist with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and has been a Rhodes College faculty member since 1986. She also performs with the Memphis Symphony Woodwind Quartet and as a member of the ShearWinds Trio.

Feller earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Oberlin College and a Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School, where she studied with David Weber.

She maintains an active private teaching studio in Memphis. As a solo recitalist and chamber musician, Feller has premiered and recorded many contemporary compositions, including works by her son Max Friedman and her husband Stanley Friedman. Along with Stanley, Max, daughter Abbye and friends, Feller performs in Moyschele’s Merry Mishpocha - a klezzical ensemble.
