Philip Kenner is a writer, educator, and performer from New Rochelle, New York. Recently his play, THE MALL THE MALL THE MALL, premiered as a part of The Once and Future Festival in Chicago.
His plays include The Situation Is Getting Worse, Psychotropic, JEWDOG, Snap Crackle Prop, The Sun Club, Everything About This is Gross, Ravenous, The Woods Decay, Hades & Gehenna, and Defense Mode. Kenner's plays have been produced by RoleCall Theater, The Performance Interface Lab, Dixon Place, and Playwrights Downtown. He has had readings with Playwrights Horizons, Book Culture, Theatre Zoomed to You, The CRY HAVOC Company, and the Jermyn Street Theatre in London.
His poetry, playwriting, and essays have been published in Colectivo Tabú, COPY, bookstore poets vol. 1, HAVOC for the Holidays, among others. Kenner is a founding member and current Literature Section editor of COPY Magazine, and he has an M.F.A. in playwriting and screenwriting from Northwestern University.
