About Natalie

Natalie Blalock is a performer and theatre educator whose stage work spans Broadway, major regional houses, and the solo spotlight. Her performance credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel on Broadway, Miss Trixie Delight in Paper Moon at Ford's Theatre, and her solo show Ladies and Gentlemen, Natalie Blalock at Joe's Pub at The Public Theatre in New York City. She has also performed leading roles including Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Miss Hannigan in Annie, and Mama Rose in Gypsy.

With junior Camp students, Blalock's classroom runs on improv. The games are high-energy and the room is loud — and that's by design. Play is how young performers learn to make bold choices, stay in the moment, and discover that the person across from them is the most interesting thing on stage. From stillness comes power: unleashing playfulness, leaning into collaboration, learning to truly listen, and building story with their voice and their bodies.

I believe the fastest way into a young performer's potential is through play. When a room is loud and the stakes feel low, something remarkable happens — they stop performing and start being. That's where the real work begins.
