About Masha

Masha Tatarintseva is excited to join the Interlochen summer Visual Arts Faculty team. Tatarintseva has over seven years of full time experience teaching grades 6-12. She has taught the following disciplines: drawing and painting, graphic arts, photography, film production, yearbook, and 3D design. Tatarintseva loves to incorporate storytelling and playfulness into art making. Tatarintseva's personal creative practice blends theatre, film/animation, and immersive design. Her personal work explores issues of immigrant self identity. Tatarintseva's select theatre credits include video designer for Remembering Boyle Heights at CASA 0101, Los Angeles; and Jamaica Farewell and Louis Prima and Keely Smith Live at the Sahara at the Royal George Theater, Chicago. Her select short film credits include "Afrika is a Country," "TAPE," "The Dark Room," and "MARS ONE."

I see each student as a unique individual. I meet my students where they are and help them to take their unique talents to the next level. I embrace hands-on learning. I focus equally on growing the students' technical skills and conceptual esthetics.
