About Kristen

Kristen Ronning is a horn player and educator currently located in Iowa City, Iowa. She has performed with ensembles across the Midwest, including the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and Wheaton Municipal Band. Ronning is a sought-after educator, teaching horn at St. Ambrose University and through the Quad City Symphony’s Private Lesson Program in addition to maintaining her own private studio. Her primary teachers include Dr. Andrew Pelletier and Jon Boen. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Iowa with Dr. Katy Ambrose.
