About Kimberly

Kimberly Baker holds a B.A. in English Language & Literature and a M.A. in English Language & Literature from Eastern Michigan University with a focus on media studies. Baker has taught a wide range of populations in various contexts and countries in the United States, Europe and Asia. Her focus on discussion-based, student centered classrooms is a core part of her educational philosophy. She has a particular interest in multimodal textual analysis and inquiries into identity, location, and creative expression through the act of writing.

I encourage my students to take risks, learn from others, and explore their strengths as critically as their weaknesses. To equally understand their aptitudes as well as their challenges and work towards continual growth in all areas of their intellectual, artistic, and personal lives.

Kimberly Baker is a certified International Baccalaureate Teacher in English Language and Literature.
