Katy Tabb is a Seattle-based choreographer, director, performer, and teaching artist. Select Seattle area choreography credits include: Spring Awakening and Sweeney Todd (The 5th Ave. Theatre); Billy Elliot, Singin’ In The Rain, Newsies, Cinderella, Mamma Mia, The Fantasticks, Legally Blonde (Village Theatre); The Hello Girls, Bright Star, and the world premiere of Persuasion (Taproot Theatre Co.). She also recently choreographed Waitress (Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee, Wisconsin), Mamma Mia (Great Lakes Center for the Arts, Petosky, Michigan), and Come From Away (Theatre Aspen, Aspen, Colorado). Her work has also been seen at Olney Theatre Center, Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle Symphony, and The Triple Door. She is a proud recipient of the Gregory Award for Best Choreography for Newsies. She has served as associate choreographer to Ebony Williams, as well as associate director and choreographer to Lisa Shriver and Adam Immerwahr. As an educator, she loves sharing the joy of storytelling through movement with her students. She has had the privilege of choreographing and directing numerous youth theatre productions and is a sought after workshop guest artist at universities and theatre programs across the Pacific Northwest. Tabb received her B.A. in Dance from Chapman University and is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and Actor’s Equity Association.
